In a historic moment for European football, Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to surpass 100 goals in the UEFA Champions League. The Portuguese forward achieved this milestone during Real Madrid's 4-2 second-leg victory over Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
Ronaldo's two goals in extra time took his total tally in the competition to 101. He had previously equaled the previous record of 99 goals held by Lionel Messi.
Real Madrid's victory over Bayern Munich means they will face Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 26th. It will be their fourth Champions League final in the last five years.
