Nets Bolster Frontcourt Depth with Veteran Center

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (March 6, 2023) - The Brooklyn Nets have signed center Nerlens Noel to a 10-day contract, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Noel, 29, is a 6-foot-11, 220-pound center who has played in 575 career NBA games (403 starts) with the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks, and Detroit Pistons. He has career averages of 7.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, and 1.1 steals in 22.2 minutes per game.

Noel was drafted sixth overall by the 76ers in the 2013 NBA Draft and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2015. He has also represented Team USA at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Nets are currently 34-24 and sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. They will host the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, March 7.
